The Spider and the Fly

The Spider and the Fly. Everyone was waiting for her to dance a tarantella.

About the work

Excerpt from The Spider and the Fly, a parable, began as one of the Insect Dances of Le Posizioni Veneziane. Realized in video, the work develops its full significance through the use of re-photography and digital effects created on the Amiga computer with software by Electronic Arts. It was shot in the artist's studio and at the WWII Manzanar War Relocation Center in Inyo County, California.
